About the role

At Four Seasons Hotel Firenze we are looking for a passionate Guest Services Agent / Door Attendant to provide exceptional quality and service to our guests.

 

What you will do

  • Greet guests who arrive by private car, taxi, or limo by opening their car door and welcoming them to the hotel. Assists guests descending from cars. Issue appropriate valet parking ticket to guests who want car parked. Give verbal greeting to guests arriving on foot. Open hotel doors for all guests.

  • Unload guest luggage from car, tags it and issues claim tickets to the guest.  Direct hotel guests to the Front Desk for check-in. Assist the Bell Staff, if needed, in delivering luggage to room upon check-in and picking up luggage from room upon departure.

  • Assure the smooth flow of traffic on the drive by directing guest cars and taxis to the appropriate positions and directing valet parkers to park cars.

  • Provide guests with directions, recommendations, and information about the city and its attractions. Hail taxis as needed.  Load luggage in car for departing guests.

  • Handle all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible; resolve customer complaints, assist customers in all inquiries in connection with hotel services, hours of operations, key hotel personnel, in-house events, etc.

  • Greet all guests passing through Front Door/Lobby and offer them assistance.

  • Provide guests with directions, recommendations, and information about the city and its attractions.

  • If needed carry out other departmental duties such as shoeshine service (picking up shoes from guest room, cleaning and polishing them and returning them to the guest) and valet parking.

  • Provide a high level of cleanliness in the luggage storage room.

  • Assist with responsibilities and duties in the absence or heavy volume in the areas of Guest Services, Front Desk and Concierge.

 

What you bring

  • Education: High school education or equivalent experience.  

  • Experience: Previous experience in a luxury environment is considered a plus.

  • Must possess excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills, an outgoing personality and a can-do approach to any request.

  • A valid driving license is required for this position.

  • Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the Italian and English language.

  • Travel required: None

Schedule & Hours:

This position is based at the Four Seasons Hotel Firenze and the contract is full time.
